Self Assessment Tax Returns

Self-assessment has been around since April 1996, bringing with it new tax return forms, different tax payment dates and stricter penalties for non-compliance.

The new self-assessment tax return forms, normally issued by the Inland Revenue in April each year, must be submitted to the Inland Revenue by the following 31st January.

If the return is submitted late interest will be charged automatically.

Under self-assessment, the Inland Revenue has the power to enquire into every tax return submitted to it. This can be a very worrying time for the individual involved.

We can remove any worries by acting on your behalf when dealing with your self assessment returns.
